People ask me all the time, “What’s your favorite book?” And I never have an answer because my favorite book changes with the sun and moon. It might be Pride and Prejudice… or Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone… or Tuck Everlasting… or the Crown of Thorns series… or… you get the idea. This is a great story (the first in a series – yay!!!) about a girl who didn’t want a horse! I’ve just started it and so far, the story and the main character have me hooked. The author actually owns a horse stable near where I live, so the parts about horses are absolutely right. When she isn’t writing, Shannon Kennedy teaches kids and teens how to care for horses and how to become good riders.

The Magician’s Nephew

Chronicles of Narnia

C.S. Lewis

This first book in the Narnia series has some funny moments and a really, really good story.

Book Five of the Selection Series

Keira Cass

This book is my guilty pleasure series. What’s not to love about Cinderella and the Bachelor? Throw in a world that is trying to recover from political disasters, family problems, and a teenage girl who has to shoulder the problems of her country while trying to pick out Prince Charming from the gaggle of frogs, and it’s a winner.
