Other Authors

I work with other writers a lot.  Here are some of my favorite people and their recently released books.

Anne Stephenson

Anne is the other half of Stephanie Browning.  When she is not creating fun romances with Susan, Anne writes mysteries, essays, and scripts.  Her latest exciting mystery for 9 to 12 year olds, is Paper Treasure: A Charlie Bradford Mystery.  An old gold mine, missing shares and a 13-year-old super sleuth...

Spending the summer months in Colville with his little brother trailing behind him is not exactly Charlie Bradford's idea of a good time...but when someone steals his late grandfather's shares in The Treasure Creek Gold Mine and then tries to trick the other owners into selling theirs, Charlie is hopping mad....
His grandfather believed in that mine.
Joining forces with new friend Lisa Kirby, Charlie tracks down his grandfather's old partners only to find a thief who will stop at nothing to get his hands on The Treasure Creek Gold Mine!

Dana Stabenow

Dana and I (along with essayist Kathleen Alcala) met at Hedgebrook Writer’s Retreat on Whidbey Island near the start of our careers.  Dana has soared, writing a hugely successful series of mysteries set in Alaska.  She has recently published a three book series, Of Silk and Song, about Marco Polo’s granddaughter – a story that has been demanding she write it for years.  I’ve just dipped into its pages and I’m thoroughly enjoying the clear vision of faraway times and places…and the adventure!

Kathleen Alcala

A writer whose work spans cultural research, essays, novels and more.  Her latest book, The Deepest Roots, explores the interrelationship of food with the local culture where she grew up in the Pacific Northwest.
